Vote Project of the Week: Will It Be 'The S Word,' 'Calliope,' 'Float,' or 'Getting Naked: Burlesque Story'?

[Editors Note: Project of the Week is presented in partnership with Blackmagic Design, one of the world’s leading innovators and manufacturers of creative video technology.]

The winning filmmaker will become a candidate for November Project of the Month. That winner will receive a Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 12 License and will be in the running for Project of the Year, where the prize will be a Blackmagic URSA Mini 4k camera.

The four projects up for this week’s Project of the Week are listed below (with descriptions courtesy of the filmmakers). You can vote at the bottom of the page.

The S Word: Dese’Rae Stage, suicide attempt survivor, is on mission to find fellow survivors and document their stories of unguarded courage, insight and humor. She discovers a community rising up to transform personal struggles into action on a national level.

Calliope: A story-motion short about a young girl who is one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse from acclaimed toy designers Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters, stop-motion innovator Martin Meunier (“Coraline”) and Jon Schnepp.

Float: A short film set in 1995 Seattle following the trials and tribulations of a Cambodian hustler named Rocky Mang.

Getting Naked: A Burlesque Story: Women leave drone lives to become burlesque dancers where they find excitement, community, love, and meaning. But this utopian world can’t insulate them from harsh realities.

Voting will end Monday, November 9 at 11 a.m. ET.
