Nearly two decades after the first “Blade” movie starring Wesley Snipes, it appears that Marvel is not done with the vampire-slayer franchise.

During an appearance at New York Comic-Con to promote “Underworld: Blood Wars,” actress Kate Beckinsale was asked whether her vampire warrior character of Selene might ever cross paths with Snipes’ Blade, to which she responded that a new “Blade” project is already in the works, The Independent reports. Unfortunately for fans hoping to see both characters in the same film, Beckinsale said she is not involved in the upcoming “Blade” project.

This isn’t the first time talks of a fourth “Blade” film have been swirling around, as Snipes himself told attendees at Comic-Con last year that he had “a really productive and a wonderful meeting” with Marvel in which they discussed making another “Blade” movie.

Snipes played the lead role in the first “Blade” in 1998 before reprising the role in “Blade II” in 2002 and “Blade: Trinity” in 2004. Sony released the first “Underworld” in 2003, after which Beckinsale starred in “Underworld: Evolution” in 2006, “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” in 2009 and “Underworld: Awakening” in 2013. Beckinsale recently completed a fifth installment, “Underworld: Blood Wars.”
