With “Blunt Talk” just a few months away from debuting its sophomore season, Starz has released a new trailer signaling the return of its Patrick Stewart–led comedy. As his eponymous character, a British newscaster who moves to Los Angeles, apparently has fans in the adult-film industry, Stewart finds himself in a compromised position in the 30-second clip first uploaded to the show’s Facebook page. The straitlaced seriousness of Professor X and Jean-Luc Picard isn’t exactly on display here, of course, with Stewart tapping into a rather different set of skills for the show. Stewart has said previously that the show has provided many occasions for him to say, “I’ve never done that before”; this, presumably, is no exception.

Jacki Weaver, Adrian Scarborough, Dolly Wells and Timm Sharp co-star in the sitcom, which was created by Jonathan Ames and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane. “Blunt Talk” season two begins in October.
