Robert de Niro, Stephen Colbert, and Samantha Bee React to Donald Trump’s Lewd Comments Caught on Tape
On Friday, the Washington Post released video recorded in 2005 in which Presidential candidate Donald Trump made lewd comments regarding grabbing “women by the p***y” and how he tried to “move in” on then-“Access Hollywood” host Nancy O’Dell and “Days of Our Lives” star Ariana Zucker.
Among the many celebrities and public figures who took to social media to express their disgust with Trump’s comments were Stephen Colbert, who released a video weighing in on the controversy. The clip explained that Friday night’s broadcast of “The Late Show” was taped on Thursday, so he wouldn’t have been able to comment on the subject.
“We did not know today, this afternoon, there would be an audio release of the motherlode, the El Dorado, of Donald Trump misogyny gold,” he said in the video, before proceeding to watch the footage.
“I think that’s enough. I think I have the idea,” he said. “Here’s what I really found disgusting. Trump says in the video, ‘When you’re a star, they let you get away with anything.’ And unfortunately, that’s true. Because Donald Trump is the Republican nominee. Hopefully, someday he’ll be telling the story about he tried to f****d America and failed.”

Robert DeNiro also lashed out in classic form, calling Trump “a punk,” “a pig,” “a con,” “a mutt,” and “a bozo,” among other things. He’d also like to punch him in the face.
Samantha Bee chimed in, mocking the Republican candidate and posting her own video in which she has an “extremely lewd conversion about men.” The “Full Frontal” host even issued a fake apology saying that it was “just classic girl talk.”

Friday night, Trump issued an official apology stating he “never said he was a perfect person” and that he’s said and done things that he regrets. “Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it. I was wrong and I apologize.” The mogul then targeted Hillary and Bill Clinton, adding that there are more important things to worry about than what he said 11 years ago.

Someone who didn’t accept his apology was Mark Duplass, who shared a lengthy post on Twitter apologizing for Trump’s comments about women because “he seems incapable of doing so properly.” The actor and director also added that not all “locker room banter” is what Trump says it is.
