‘Game of Thrones’: The Queen of Thorns Is a Badass Schemer in Season 6 Deleted Scene

This past season of “Game of Thrones” received widespread critical acclaim and high ratings across the board. It was nominated for 23 Emmys and won 12, including Outstanding Drama Series for the second year in a row. Now, the sixth season will soon be available on home video and ahead of that release, HBO has released a deleted scene with Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of Thorns and the grandmother of Loras and Margaery Tyrell. The scene is from the second episode “Home” and features the Queen of Thorns berating her son Mace Tyrell and scheming to free Loras and Margaery. Watch it below.

The Blu-ray release of “Game of Thrones” season 6 will include many special features. Some of them include a behind-the-scenes featurette that delves into the production difficulties of creating the “Battle of the Bastards” episode, another featurette about the creation of Vaes Dothrak, a half-hour making-of doc that follows a challenging shoot, 13 audio commentaries, four deleted scenes and much more.

The sixth season of “Game of Thrones” will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, November 15 courtesy of HBO. The seventh season of “Game of Thrones” will premiere sometime in mid-2017 and the series will conclude with its eighth season.
