Here’s Your First Look at Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter as ‘Burton & Taylor’

Dominic West (“The Wire”) and Helena Bonham Carter (“The King’s Speech”) will follow in the not-so-illustrious footsteps of “Liz & Dick” stars Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler when they take on the roles of Hollywood’s most famously volatile couple in BBC America’s TV movie “Burton & Taylor.”

The film, directed by Richard Laxton (“Effie Gray”) and written by William Ivory (“Made in Dagenham”), will be set later in the romance between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, when they were acting in an ill-fated 1983 stage revival of Noel Coward’s play “Private Lives.” “Burton & Taylor” will premiere this fall on the network, who this evening released a first photo of West and Carter in the roles. Do they look the part?
