Last week, Dallas was abuzz as one of the city’s most historic events was brought back to life. For the new Hulu series “11/22/63,” executive produced by J.J. Abrams, the city took a trip back to the 60s in a reenactment of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The series, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, follows high school English teacher Jake Epping (played by James Franco) as he travels back in time to stop Lee Harvey Oswald from killing the then president. During last week’s production, Dallas’s residents, as well as the show’s cast and crew took to Twitter to record the replication of the historic event — giving us our first look at the highly anticipated JJ Abrams production.
