The San Diego Comic Con exclusive is a six-minute cartoon entitled “Don vs. Raph,” and it features an epic battle between the brothers over who is the better fighter. While the heroes in the half-shell are known for being equally goofy as they are masters of martial arts, Vasquez’s short sees Donatello and Raphael compete in some pretty bizarre activities after beating each other to a pulp and deciding fighting won’t settle their score.
What kinds of activities? The brothers go head to head in everything from video games to baking to Jenga. There’s also a beauty pageant, a hot dog-eating contest and an epic game of jump rope. Most of the original characters from the series appear at one point or another, including Leonardo, Michelangelo, April, Splinter — even Shredder, who has his own interesting take on the turtles’ multi-faceted competition. “Let us watch,” he tells the Foot Clan as they prepare to ambush the turtles. “This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.”
