Michael B. Jordan Vows to Use An Inclusion Rider on Every Movie He Produces

Michael B. Jordan announced on his Instagram page he will be using an inclusion rider on all films his production company Outlier Society makes in the future. The inclusion rider has been a topic of discussion ever since Frances McDormand mentioned the two words while accepting the Oscar for Best Actress. An “inclusion rider” is an amendment to a contract that requires cast and crew on a film to meet a certain percentage of diversity.

“In support of the women and men who are leading this fight, I will be adopting the Inclusion Rider for all projects produced by my company Outlier Society,” Jordan wrote. “I’ve been privileged to work with powerful woman and persons of color throughout my career and it’s Outlier’s mission to continue to create for talented individuals going forward.”

Jordan launched Outlier Society in 2016. The production company’s first project development is the television series “Apollo Park.” The actor can currently be seen on the big screen in the Marvel blockbuster “Black Panther” and has “Fahrenheit 451” debuting on HBO this April. He’ll next reprise his role as boxer Adonis Creed in “Creed 2.”
