The techno thriller “Mr. Robot” became a surprise cult success last year. It received widespread critical acclaim and gained a rapid popularity online. The series follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a cyber security engineer by day and master hacker by night who joins fsociety, a secret hacktivist collective that seeks to bring down Evil Corp, one of the biggest conglomerates in the world. Ahead of its second season premiere, “Mr. Robot” has engaged in a series of viral marketing campaigns, including a video featuring Obama denouncing fsociety and a hackable ATM in New York. Now, on the eve of July 4th weekend, the cast has posed for a promo photo that honors America’s Founding Fathers. At The Nerdist, the “Mr. Robot” cast posed for a photo in homage to John Trumbull’s famous “The Declaration of Independence” painting, with Elliot sitting in front of two computers, and Darlene (Carly Chaikin), Angela Moss (Portia Doubleday), and Mr. Robot himself (Christian Slater) standing in front of him. Only if you zoom in on the image and look at Elliot’s screen, you will find certain “hack-worthy” information. Check out the original photo below, and head to The Nerdist to see what lies inside the photo.
