TBS has two brand-new comedies premiering this fall. The first is “People of Earth,” starring Wyatt Cenac about a support group for alien abductees, and the second is “Search Party,” a dark comedy mystery starring Alia Shawkat (“Arrested Development”) who makes it her personal mission to find a missing college acquaintance.
Shawkat plays Dory, a bored personal assistant of a rich housewife who needs some fulfillment in her life. The series also stars John Early (“High Maintenance”), John Reynolds (“Stranger Things”), Meredith Hagner (“Veep”), and Brandon Micheal Hall (“Broad City”). The show is executive-produced by Sarah-Violet Bliss, Charles Rogers and Michael Showalter, as well as Tony Hernandez (“Broad City,” “Inside Amy Schumer”) and Lilly Burns (“Difficult People,” “Younger”) of Jax Media.
Bliss and Rogers previously wrote and directed the independent comedy “Fort Tilden,” about two friends needlessly difficult journey to the beach. They were also both staff writers on the Netflix series “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.” Michael Showalter is best known as a member of the comedy troupe The State and co-writer of David Wain films “Wet Hot American Summer” and “They Came Together.”

“Search Party” entire first season will air during Thanksgiving week, November 21st through 25th, with two episode each night starting at 11pm ET, only on TBS. All ten episodes will also be available on demand the night of the premiere.
