Netflix’s smash hit “Stranger Things” has landed at this year’s Comic Con, and the deliciously throwback series is eager to engage its rapidly expanding fanbase in a little scavenger hunt, and a strange one at that.

Matt and Ross Duffer’s eight-episode series follows a tight-knit group of geek-leaning friends who are thrown into turmoil — maybe of the supernatural variety? — when one of their own goes missing. (If this sounds like your favorite ’80s cult classic gussied up in fresh clothing for a new generation, that’s precisely what Duffer and company are aiming for.)

Now, fans of the show can go on their own search for missing 12-year-old Will Byers, as a bevy of missing child posters featuring poor Will’s terrified little face have popped up in and around this year’s San Diego Comic Con. You want to go on a hunt? Take a look:

The scavenger hunt directs fans to follow Twitter accounts @boomhowdy and @rottenrentals to get some clues as to Will’s location and, it seems, to pick up some cool — and appropriately vintage-tinged — swag along the way. Check out what some “Stranger Things” fans have grabbed while on the Byers case:
