Margot Robbie’s first producing project “I, Tonya” became an Oscar winner thanks to Allison Janney’s supporting performance and earned Robbie her first Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Robbie’s next acting-producing gig is “Terminal,” which is the farthest thing imaginable from “I, Tonya” in terms of plot and tone.
“Terminal” is a noir thriller that tells the story of two assassins whose latest mission brings them in contact with a host of unusual people, including a mysterious woman who may be more connected to their mission than they think. Robbie stars in the femme fatale role opposite Simon Pegg, Dexter Fletcher, Max Irons, and Mike Myers.
The challenging noir thriller is the feature directorial debut of Vaughn Stein. Prior to “Terminal,” Stein served as assistant director on titles like “World War Z,” “The Fifth Estate,” and “In the Heart of the Sea.”
“Terminal” will open in theaters May 11 via RLJE Films. Watch the first trailer below.
