Samuel L. Jackson is harnessing the power of novelty viral videos for charity.
The actor is recording monologues chosen by Reddit users in exchange for donations on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association. And his second video, below, will be familiar to any “Breaking Bad” fan — it’s Walter White’s (Bryan Cranston) famous speech to his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) in episode six of season four of the show, in which he tells her that he’s not a victim nor in over his head, but is in fact the guy everyone else is afraid of.
While Jackson’s rendition lacks Cranston’s impeccable crescendo (and the benefit of context), he still proves himself a man who knows his way around a fiery monologue (“And you will know my name is the Lord…”). You can donate to Jackson’s cause here.
