Even if you don’t play daily fantasy sports, odds are extraordinarily high you’ve been affected by it, and that’s because everyone who owns a TV has had to suffer through endless advertisements highlighting the success stores behind every football fan’s new favorite “hobby” (read: addiction). With the happy faces of new millionaires and promo codes promising free money, Draft Kings and FanDuel promotions dominate not just the daily fantasy world, but also the daily television world as well.

Expect more as the football season progresses, but two men are standing up to the multi-billion dollar companies. One is the New York state attorney general, who filed an injunction claiming the “entertainment” sites are, in fact, illegal gambling operations, and the other is John Oliver, relating the layered debate to the public via “Last Week Tonight” on HBO.

Following his standard — and incredibly effective — structure, Oliver lays out the points beat by beat before ending with a video mocking those damn ads we’ve all seen 20 times too many. Helping him out are Seth Rogen, Kathryn Hahn, Adam Pally, Mike Birbiglia, Martin Starr, Jerrod Carmichael and more. Watch the video above (with the fake ad starting at 15:25).
