Yes, more full-first-episode previews for your pre-fall season sampling enjoyment. NBC is offering up the pilot for its new sitcom “The New Normal,” the latest from “Glee” and “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy (working with Ali Adler).
The comedy stars Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha as a happy, successful Los Angeles couple who want to have a baby. They find a surrogate — a single mom and waitress played by Georgia King — and come to incorporate her, her daughter and her grandmother (Ellen Barkin) into their lives.

“The New Normal” premieres on NBC on Tuesday, September 11th at 9:30pm, but the series has already been at the center of some controversy after Utah NBC affiliate station KSL-TV pulled the series from its line-up, calling it “inappropriate on several dimensions.” On Twitter, star Barkin responded by saying “So L&O SVU (rape & child murder) is ok? But loving gay couple having a baby is inappropriate?” The previous year, KSL-TV pulled “The Playboy Club” from its airwaves because of its content.
