Actors don’t always make the best decisions, and the best actors are not afraid to admit it. From George Clooney roasting his own dip into superhero cinema as Batman in the maligned “Batman and Robin” to Nicole Kidman finding her acting in the studio soap opera “Australia” near-unbearable, the most high profile of actors have at least one skeleton in their closet their not afraid of calling out themselves. In some cases it’s the acting itself that proves irksome (see Daniel Radcliffe on his performance as Harry Potter), in other cases it’s the decision to play a part in the first place that inspires disappointment (see Jake Gyllenhaal and Emma Stone having regrets over tackling whitewashed roles in “Prince of Persia” and “Aloha,” respectively).
