Making a list like this is a perilous prospect. Look at the shows that topped the “Most Anticipated” roundups at this time last year and you’ll see plenty of titles that existed in the public consciousness for the approximate length of the average housefly’s lifespan.

So take this list less as a prediction than a collection of things we’re very curious about for next year. It’s not a massive “Here’s Everything That’s Premiering in 2020.” Nor is it an endless list filled with a bevy of the major streaming offerings that are going to flood our selective subconscious as the new decade dawns. (Insert Narrator voice here: “New streaming services Peacock and HBO Max will debut in April and May 2020, respectively.”)

In peak TV, it’s easy to become numb to everything that’s out there on top of everything new that’s relentlessly being released…but it is time to put that aside. Here are the shows that we’re eager to see:
