Well, so much for easing into the end of the year. As the film world dives headlong into awards season, the year-end rush continues in the land of TV. We’re ready to declare best-ofs in the immediate wake of Thanksgiving, yet there’s still a final batch of new shows to consider before the calendar officially closes.
Those last few weeks have a good chunk of spy shows, some household names, and stories from across the world. There’s political intrigue, high fantasy, and even a dating show or two. Different streaming services are each vying for some fresh attention in the waning days of the year and, even though there aren’t many shows in this collection that scream cozy wintertime, there’s never a bad time to check out what might be carrying some buzz into the early part of — gasp — 2023.
