November TV Premieres: 23 New Series to Look Out for This Month

The coming weeks bring shows starring Emily Blunt, Chris Hemsworth, Sylvester Stallone, Lizzy Caplan, Kumail Nanjiani, and Warwick Davis.

Welcome to Chippendales -- A sprawling true-crime saga, “Welcome to Chippendales” tells the outrageous story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire—and let nothing stand in his way in the process. Once the calendar ticks over from spooky season, TV becomes a month-long sprint to try to dominate the Thanksgiving conversation. Every network and streaming service wants to have the one show that takes over dinner table conversations across the country when folks are gathered. The next few weeks will see shows trying to stand atop the pile when it comes to family recommendations, group viewings, and gushing raves.

In that pursuit, November’s got the usual ingredients in the New Show Goulash. We’ve got literary adaptations, continuations of movies from decades past, brand new adaptations of international hits, dramas with a strong true crime vein, unscripted series lead by household names, A-list actors making their first big TV splash, comedians playing against type, remakes of public domain works, and documentaries about tragic public figures and/or weird phenomena from the past that people are maybe only vague aware of. In case you hadn’t noticed, TV is a big fan of taking old things and making them new again. November 2022 is certainly no exception.

It’s a lot chew on, but that’s the end-of-year deal. Soon, we’ll be under the glorious and beautiful deluge of lists and 2022 roundups and best-of collections. Some of the shows listed below might just crack a few of those. And, who knows? There might be a surprise series or two on its way that we don’t even know about yet. It’s happened before. In this age of trying to outdo the competition, there will be plenty of competition for eyeballs this month that involve lions and cowboys instead of Lions and Cowboys. For now, here’s your monthly chunk of new TV vying for your attention (and this month, your Uncle Phil’s).

(If you happened to miss any of our past roundups, you can peruse the premieres of January, February, March, April, May June, July, August, September, October, and our Fall Preview.)
