“Room 104” is the Duplass brothers’ new HBO series, and unlike their lovely first effort with the premium cable network, this series is super duper weird. Just check out the official synopsis:
“‘The banal” can be a most interesting place – if you stop and take a look. Telling tales of the characters who pass through a single room of a typical American chain motel, the Duplass Brothers-produced anthology series ‘Room 104’ begins its 12-episode season Friday, July 28 at 11:30 p.m., exclusively on HBO. From Mark and Jay Duplass, the show tells a different story each week, with the tone, the characters and the era changing every time. Ranging from comedy to drama to horror, each episode plays like a mini-movie, offering a new discovery from one week to the next, telling tales of everyday people striving for connection and meaning.”
That means there’s a new cast every week, and Mark and Jay Duplass hired a multitude of young directors and writers to steer them in the right direction. Check out the gallery for first look photos of each episode, as well as a cast and creators list.
