The previous two seasons of “Stranger Things” took place in the fall, in line with the spookier, Halloween-adjacent time period for its series that honors ’80s horror flicks. But the Duffer Brothers switched it up by moving Season 3 to summer, around the Fourth of July, all the better to highlight its ultimate, all-American aspect: the shopping mall.
In the photos below, Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and more can been seen on set wearing distinctly cooler clothes – cooler because fashion is definitely embracing a louder color palette by 1985 but also because temperatures in Georgia, where “Stranger Things” is shot, were high.
