As crucial as it is to learn the world’s history of discrimination and violence, it’s also critical for audiences to witness stories of Black triumph, survival, and just plain silliness.

Social change can come in many forms, but sometimes joy and existence are a radical act in and of themselves. To celebrate, IndieWire curated a list of TV shows bursting with Black joy.
