As the year slowly winds to a close, so do the year-end lists as well. But even though list-season is over for the most part, there are still a few more noteworthy lists trickling in around now and next month. One of these last remaining lists comes from veteran critic Owen Gleiberman who published his ten best films of the year on Friday.
The list features an interesting mix of films, from some standard picks (“Carol,” “Mad Max: Fury Road”) and some underappreciated choices, like the Brian Wilson biopic “Love & Mercy” and the new Judd Apatow film “Trainwreck.” Gleiberman’s list is reprinted below, but as always, please follow the link to read his notes on each film.
