Joe Wright Embraces His Inner Punk

Coinciding with the release of the violent, action-packed “Hanna,” director Joe Wright met with indieWIRE to comment on his departure from the more restrained period films he is known for. “I wanted to smash it all up a bit, really,” said Wright. “I felt like deconstructing myself and my filmmaking.”
