It looks like Quentin Tarantino is putting the final pieces in place for “Django Unchained” as yet another actor has come aboard what is already a ridonkulous cast.
Rising actress Danièle Watts will get a nice bit of a career boost coming aboard for Quentin Tarantino‘s film in the role of Coco. It’s a small one, but still an opportunity for Watts to spend time at the catering table hanging out with Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Sacha Baron Cohen and more. Not bad. Watts has been working steadily, popping up recently on episodes of “Criminal Minds,” “Detroit 187,” and “Cold Case,” but clearly this will be her biggest gig yet.
While filming was originally slated to start this month, about a week ago Nola reported production had been pushed back slightly, with cameras now rolling in February. No reason given for the delay, but it seems Tarantino still had some fine tuning and casting to do.
We presume The Weinstein Company are still going to want this before the year is out, and if all still goes to plan, “Django Unchained” will hit theaters on Christmas Day.
