'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Will Now Arrive For Valentine's Day 2015 Plus See Christian & Anastasia Together For The First Time

There is probably an easy joke here about how good things come (ha) to those who wait, and it’s never good to rush into bed or something, but it looks like Universal and Focus Features have decided to give “Fifty Shades Of Grey” the space it needs to do it right (sorry). So for those of you who were looking to go the sex room of your local multiplex next year, you’ll have to hold on just a bit longer (hardy har har).

The studio has officially moved the erotic book adaptation to February 13, 2015—or just in time to take someone you love on Valentine’s Day. The film had previously been pegged to bow on August 1, 2014, but with production start delays and rewrites, this now makes sense. But, to assure everyone that things are moving along swimmingly, the promo machine is starting before even a frame has been shot with Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele—aka Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson—snuggling up on the cover of EW and talking about taking on the gig.

“I’m a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I’m not saying we had a playroom, but I’m not shocked by [the sex in the book]. It’s essential to tell the story,” Dornan said, sending hearts fluttering. “I can’t believe films that don’t invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me.” As for Johnson, her concerns are more practical.

“Obviously, I want to look good naked,” she said. “I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of f—ing feels awesome.” You can take a look what Dornan and Johnson look like together below.

Meanwhile, a couple other Universal movies are shifting: Tate Taylor‘s James Brown biopic “Get On Up” will now drop on August 1, 2014, with the studio likely hoping to replicate the late season success of similar films like “The Help” and “Lee Daniels’ The Butler.” And “Dracula Untold” will now move to October 17, 2014 just in time for Halloween.
