Gravitas Ventures has acquired worldwide rights to writer Aaron Dancik and director Andrew Nackman’s feel-good comedy “4th Man Out.” The film has shown at a few festivals, including the Seattle Film Festival, Outfest, where it won Best Dramatic Feature, and Toronto’s Inside Out, where it was awarded Best Narrative Feature.

The official synopsis reads: “A hilarious mash-up of man-child and coming-out comedies, ‘4th Man Out’ examines a small-town, blue-collar guy who lets his friends know he’s gay – and what happens when they try to help him find a boyfriend.”

“We’re thrilled to be working with Gravitas on the release of this film and can’t wait to bring it to audiences in 2016!” said producer Lauren Avinoam.

“Gravitas was instantly taken with the on-screen chemistry of the ‘4th Man Out’ cast which reflects on an immensely talented filmmaking team,” added Julie Candelaria, Gravitas Ventures SVP of Marketing. “We are confident that audiences everywhere are going to relate to this story and its characters.”

The deal was negotiated by Nolan Gallagher (Gravitas Ventures Founder and CEO), Ben Braun (Submarine Deluxe) and Ramo Law on behalf of the filmmakers.

Gravitas will release the film on VOD and in theaters on February 5, 2016.
