MarVista Entertainment will handle the North American distribution for “Sex Ed,” a romantic comedy starring Haley Joel Osment.
The film stars Osment as the virginal Eddie, a young man who lands a teaching gig at inner city school. Once there, he realizes that many of the kids in his middle school class have never received any sort of sexual education. As a virgin, he’s not exactly the best teacher for the subject. Nevertheless, the film examines his efforts, which includes pissing off a Reverend and falling in love with the older sister of a student.
Directed by Isaac Feder and written by Black Listed writer Bill Kennedy, “Sex Ed” also stars Lorenza Izzo, Glen Powell, Matt Walsh, Retta and Abby Elliot. MarVista will release the film to theaters and on VOD on November 7.
