Music Box Films has acquired U.S. rights to Anne Fontaine’s "Gemma Bovery," starring Gemma Arterton, following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Variety reports.
Based on Gustave Flaubert’s novel, the film stars Arterton as a British woman who moves with her husband to a provincial French town where she befriends a French baker (Fabrice Luchini).
Music Box films distributed Pawel Pawlikowski’s black and white drama "Ida," which emerged as one of the biggest indie hits this year, grossing $3.7 million in the U.S.
