The Tribeca Film Festival has officially announced the jurors for its 2015 edition, running April 15-26. The 34 selected jurors represent a diverse group of award-winning filmmakers, producers, acclaimed actors, authors and entrepreneurs, and they will be split among the seven competitive Festival categories. The seven TFF juries will award $150,000 in cash and prizes when the winning films, filmmakers and actors in each category are announced at the TFF Awards Night ceremony on April 23 at Spring Studious.

“The group of unique voices and perspectives that make up this year’s jury are sure to spark thoughtful discussion – and perhaps some friendly debate – around this year’s films,” said Jane Rosenthal, co-founder of the Tribeca Film Festival.   

The 2015 Festival jurors include:

2015 World Narrative Competition:
Paul Attanasio (Oscar-nominated screenwriter and producer of “Quiz Show,” “Donnie Brasco”)
Sophie Barthes (French-American director and screenwriter  “Cold Souls”)   
Whoopi Goldberg (EGOT winner and star of  “The Color Purple,” “Ghost”)
Dylan McDermott (Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee, current star of CBS’ “Stalker”) 
Burr Steers (Writer and/or directing of “17 Again, “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”)

2015 World Documentary Competition:
Diego Bunuel (Franco-American filmmaker, Head of Documentaries on Canal Plus) 
Tine Fischer (Founder and CEO of the leading international documentary film festivals such as CPH:DOX)
David Gelb: (Documentarian, “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”)
Josh Rothkopf (Film Editor at Time Out New York)
Gloria Steinem (Writer, lecturer, editor, feminist activist, and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom)
2015 Best New Narrative Director:
Mark Boal (Producer/writer, “The Hurt Locker,” “Zero Dark Thirty”)
Minnie Driver (Actress, “About a Boy”)
Don Hertzfeldt (Animator, “It’s Such a Beautiful Day,” “The Meaning of Life”)
