Sundance First Look: Greta Gerwig In Todd Solondz’s ‘Wiener-Dog’

Yesterday, the Sundance Film Festival revealed the rest of their excellent 2016 slate, and one of the many films that caught our eye is Todd Solondz’s “Wiener-Dog.” His sorta-followup to “Welcome To The Dollhouse” continues the adventures of Dawn Wiener, now portrayed by Greta Gerwig, with a helluva ensemble along for the ride.

Julie Delpy, Kieran Culkin, Danny DeVito, Brie Larson, Ellen Burstyn, Zosia Mamet and Tracy Letts are part of the Megan Ellison– and Christine Vachon– produced pic that also finds other characters from ‘Dollhouse’ returning. Here’s the synopsis:

This film tells several stories featuring people who find their life inspired or changed by one particular dachshund, who seems to be spreading comfort and joy.

Check out the first images above and below. We definitely can’t wait to see what Solondz does in the return to this world. [The Salt Lake Tribune/The Film Stage]
