Ted Hope Joins the indieWIRE Blog Network

Award-winning independent producer Ted Hope has joined the indieWIRE blog network.

Hope’s blog, Hope For Film, is his outlet for discussing a wide range of topics that have included the need for indie films in the National Film Registry, the inspirational powers of Ella Fitzgerald and Todd Solondz, new models for film financing and why net neutrality can determine the future of indie filmmaking.

Hope For Film joins indieWIRE’s growing network of blogs, which include Anne Thompson’s Thompson on Hollywood, The Playlist, Leonard Maltin’s Crazy About the Movies, Caryn James’ James on Screens, Peter Bogdanovich’s Blogdanovich and Sydney Levine’s Sydney’s Buzz.

Hope has produced more than 50 films, including recent Sundance hit “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” “Adventureland,” “21 Grams,” “American Splendor” and “In the Bedroom.”

With James Schamus, Hope co-founded and ran the feature production and sales company Good Machine, which he and his partners sold to Universal in 2002. Good Machine, which was honored with a Museum Of Modern Art retrospective in 2001, produced Ang Lee’s early films including “Ride WIth the Devil,” “The Ice Storm,” “Pushing Hands,” the Academy Award-nominated “The Wedding Banquet” and “Eat Drink Man Woman.”
