Ten Finalists for Scott Free’s ‘Your Film Festival’ Head to Dubai & Venice Fests
Your Film Festival, launched by Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Production and YouTube (with Emirates’ sponsorship), will present the competition’s winning film at this year’s Venice Film Festival. Some three million YouTube users voted on fifty films (determined by Scott Free from 15,000 submissions) to narrow down the list to ten finalists.
Listed below, the finalists will travel to Venice where the films will screen, but not before Emirates brings them to Dubai for events celebrating their work. The winning filmmaker will be given $500,000 to create original online content with Scott Free and Michael Fassbender; both will serve as exec producers after serving on the jury that will select the winner on September 2.
Scott states:
“These ten finalists have achieved something quite remarkable and are all clearly talents to watch. People may be surprised to know that making a short film is very difficult, but these filmmakers have all succeeded in realizing their visions and I congratulate them on this achievement.”
