The movie is based on the hugely successful Stephen King series of the same name. Elba stars as the film’s heroic, revolver-weilding Roland Deschain. Additional cast members include Fran Kranz as Pimli, the right hand man of McConaughey’s character, as well as Abbey Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, Katheryn Winnick and Tom Taylor. Ron Howard and Brian Grazer serve as producers.
