The First Poster For ‘Thor: The Dark World’ Reveals A Mighty Hammer

You can bet that with “Iron Man 3” opening in just a couple of weeks, Marvel isn’t going to miss a hot second to promote their other superhero movie this year, “Thor: The Dark World.” So perhaps in advance of the eventual teaser trailer or teaser for the teaser trailer, the studio has dropped the first poster, and it’s….well, you’re not going to mistake this movie for anything else.

Chris Hemsworth wields his hammer on the one sheet, which doesn’t reveal much else except lightning and rain. Yawn. Anyway, this time around our hero will protect Asgard from the forces of the Dark Elves, with Maliketh (Christopher Eccleston) and Algrim/Kurse (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) leading the charge.
