The film, which also stars Charles Grodin, Adam Horovitz, Maria Dizzia and Ryan Serhant, received favorable notices following its premiere at TIFF. In his review of the film, Eric Kohn called it Baumbach’s “most accessible comedy to date” and singled out Stiller’s performance. “The movie offers Stiller his best role in years.”
