Watch: 6-Minute Trailer For ‘The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty’ Doesn’t Leave Much To The Imagination

We understand that for overseas audiences, the words “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty” probably don’t mean much. Even for North American audiences, there is a vague recollection that it was a 1947 movie starring Danny Kaye. So how to solve that knowledge gap? Well, for the folks at Fox India, it means erasing any signs of wonder from the movie if it results in selling tickets. 

A new, extensive six-minute long trailer for Ben Stiller‘s remake has arrived and it’s essentially a walkthrough of the major plot points of the movie. In the lead role, Stiller plays the ordinary and lovelorn Walter Mitty, who embarks on a mission to find a photo negative all while hoping to impress a woman he works with. And it’s a journey that takes him to unique corners of the globe….as you’ll see here, detailed pretty thoroughly. There’s nothing really spoilery here per se, and even if the movie isn’t so great, there are still some things worth uncovering for the first time at the multiplex.
