Watch: Christian Slater and Rami Malek Praise ‘Mr. Robot’ Creator Sam Esmail’s Wit, Talent and Vision
The USA Network seems to have found a real winner with Sam Esmail’s “Mr. Robot.” The show has received widespread critical accolades since its Season 1 premiere nearly half a year ago, with many praising its sharp writing, direction, and stellar cast as being the source of the show’s quality. As fans eagerly await for more news about Season 2 premiere to trickle out, the network is gearing up to release the celebrated first season for home viewing.
In the above clip, Christian Slater, Rami Malek and Carly Chaikin offer their support, admiration and praise to the up-and-coming series creator who, before this, had amazingly only directed one feature and one short film. Esmail also chimes in, offering his explanation as to the show’s general sensibility and his desire to showcase an accurate representation of the digital age and the internet’s denizens, especially as we delve deeper into it.
The first season’s Blu-Ray and DVD releases are slated for January 12. The second season of “Mr. Robot” is rumored to premiere sometime in June or July 2016 on USA Network.
