Watch: Eddie Redmayne Channels Stephen Hawking in the First Trailer for Oscar Contender ‘The Theory of Everything’

“The Theory of Everything,” a drama that looks at Stephen Hawking’s early career and personal life, will first premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Until then, a trailer for the film, which stars Eddie Redmayne as Hawking and Felicity Jones as his wife Jane, should hold us off.

Directed by Oscar-winner James Marsh (“Man On Wire”), “The Theory of Everything” explores Hawing’s work in physics, his passionate relationship with Jane and the decline of his health due to ALS. In addition to Redmayne and Jones, the film also stars Emily Watson, Charlie Cox and David Thewlis.

“The Theory of Everything” will be released to theaters by Focus Features on Nov 7.
