Fresh from the Toronto International Film Festival, Indiewire has an exclusive clip from genre-bender “Meet Me In Montenegro.” The film tells the real-life story of Alex Holdridge and Linnea Saasen and their attempt to make a movie. True to the memoir style so prevalent in today’s fiction, Holdridge and Saasen also act in, wrote and directed the film. They may play fictionalized versions of themselves, but the line between documentary and fiction is admittedly blurred.
In this exclusive clip, we get a glimpse of the film’s picturesque European setting, and we eavesdrop on Holdridge and Saasen’s pillow talk. They debate long term romantic love — Saasen argues it’s a fantasy that is biologically impossible for modern humans, due to their long life spans.
