The first trailer has arrived for Fox’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” which combines the stars from the original film series and the 2011 prequel. Watch below.
Helmed by original “X-Men” director Bryan Singer and penned by Matthew Vaughn and Simon Kinberg, this latest installment stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Barry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender.
Fassbender’s everywhere lately — “12 Years a Slave,” “The Counselor,” plus announcements for New Zealand Western “Slow West” and a screen adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” And let’s not forget the untitled Terrence Malick project. What say you, is there a danger of Fassbender fatigue setting in for audiences? The actor will be absent from Oscar campaigning this season, so that’s one thing.
“X-Men: Days of Future Past” hits theaters May 23, 2014.
