It’s been a crazy couple of weeks for Studio Ghibli, the famed Japanese studio created by master animator Hayao Miyazaki. But rumors of retirement haven’t stopped them from releasing a U.S. trailer for "The Tale of Princess Kaguya," a Japanese epic that premiered in Japan in 2013.
Directed by Isao Takahata ("Grave of the Fireflies"), "The Tale of Princess Kaguya" follows the princess from her young years to adulthood. The English version features the voices Chloë Grace Moretz, James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Darren Criss, Lucy Liu, Beau Bridges and James Marsden.
The animation is pretty spectacular and frankly we’re just happy the studio is doing something.
The film will be released in theaters on October 17.
