Netflix has released a three-minute featurette in anticipation of the fourth and final season of “The Killing.” The video includes special interviews with co-stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, as well as series creator and showrunner Veena Sud.
The featurette, which you can watch below, features Enos, Kinnaman and Sud reflecting extensively on the intricacies of the relationships between Detectives Linden and Holder, who are played by Enos and Kinnaman, respectively.
“Their relationship, it’s always been going up and down,” says Kinnaman at one point. “There is trust and then there is broken trust, but at the core of it, it’s two broken people that are two sides to a coin.”
According to Enos, “The seeds for Season 3 were planted in the pilot.” Sud effectively corroborates Enos’ statement when, at one point, she compares the series to a novel. “Every season is a chapter,” says Sud.
Season 4 of “The Killing,” which consists of six episodes, will premiere in its entirety at 12:01am on Friday August 2 at 12:01am.
