Watch: Universal's Video Tribute Paul Walker

It always pained me when critics and internet talkbackers slammed him as an actor because I knew the truth about the guy: he was fucking awesome in every way,” “Running Scared” and “Pawn Shop Chronicles” director Wayne Kramer recently shared via Deadline about his friend and collaborator Paul Walker. “And he was just coming into his own as a strong leading man. I always told Paul that his most exciting years were going to be his 40s and 50s, and even beyond, as a masculine American tough guy in the vein of Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin. We talked about how Paul was going to be my Lee Marvin and we were hungry to make those kind of films that could show Paul in that light.”

While what might’ve come will never be known, his legacy will live on in the “Fast & Furious” franchise where his charisma and action chops got more than enough space to shine. And as Universal has shut down production of “Fast & Furious 7” as they sort out how to proceed with the sequel, they’ve taken a moment to cut together a remembrance of Paul Walker with a two minute tribute video. It’s a thoughtful look back at Walker’s work in a franchise he stuck with nearly every step of the way, creating a legion of fans and a reputation as one of the classiest, nicest guys you were ever likely to work with. Check it out below.
