XLrator Media Acquires Fantasy Thriller ‘The Curse of Sleeping Beauty’

XLrator Media has acquired “The Curse of Sleeping Beauty,” a fantasy thriller that stars Ethan Peck, India Eisley and Bruce Davison. The film is based on a Brothers Grimm story.

The official synopsis for “The Curse of Sleeping Beauty” reads: “Thomas Kaiser (Ethan Peck) inherits an ancestral mansion that has been in his family for generations — only to learn that he has also inherited an ancient curse stemming back to the Crusades. Forced into his new role as “protector” — the guardian appointed to keep the evil demons in the house at bay — Thomas teams with an ambitious local realtor (Natalie Hall) and paranormal cleric (Bruce Davison) to unravel the mystery of the house, while struggling to awaken the beautiful Briar Rose (India Eisley), held captive in a terrifying netherworld seen previously in his dreams.”

In addition to the theatrical release, XLrator Media will partner with Bleiberg Entertainment, the production company behind “The Curse of Sleeping Beauty,” to create a tie-in episodic series and a graphic novel by artist Everette Hartsoe.

“The Curse of Sleeping Beauty” is expected to hit theaters sometime next year.
