Shia LaBeouf is once again doing something you wouldn’t expect. The actor is currently watching every movie he’s ever made in reverse chronological order over the course of the next three days. LaBeouf will watch each of his movies without pause at New York City’s own Angelika Film Center in a move branded as the social media-friendly “#ALLMYMOVIES.” LaBeouf kicked off #ALLMYMOVIES today at noon.
The public can join LaBeouf, too, with free admission for all interested parties.
In a moment of sincerity, LaBeouf seemed touched by his performance in “Man Down,” the first film to play in the series (next up: “Fury”). There is also a livestream trained on LaBeouf’s face while he watches his films, so viewers can watch him online watching his films in the movie theatre.
So far, LaBeouf has eaten popcorn, teared up, made room for a woman in a red coat and taken a restroom break. Fans are still waiting to see him doze off, sneeze or check his phone.
Although the official lineup of films has not been formally announced, Rolling Stone writer David Ehrlich recently tweeted the following list of titles and times:
The project is from the art collective LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner, made up of Luke Turner, Nastja Säde Rönkkö and LaBeouf.
Per a press release: “Over the past two years, their projects and performances have included #STARTCREATING and #IAMSORRY (both LA, 2014), Meditation for Narcissists (Auto Italia South East, London, 2014), #METAMARATHON (Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, 2014), #FOLLOWMYHEART (SxSW, Austin, 2015), and most recently #INTRODUCTIONS in collaboration with Central Saint Martins BA Fine Art (London, 2015).”
LaBeouf is currently sitting at the Angelika Film Center at 18 West Houston Street in New York City, so why not go join him? Can’t get to NYC? Watch him on the livestream.
