At the Save Our Schools (SOS) March in Washington this past weekend, actor Matt Damon reminded us all why we should all love him.

During an interview with Libertarian website Reason.tv, Damon defended teachers (including his mother, Nancy Carlsson-Paige) when a reporter asked a question that suggested teachers should be driven by the same job insecurity that drives him and other actors to allegedly work so hard. Sporting a new bald head for his work on Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming “Elysium,” Damon articulately lashed out in opposition of the comment, calling it “MBA style thinking” and affirming that teachers simply want to teach.

“Why else would you take a shitty salary and really long hours and do that job unless you really love to do it,” Damon said as his clearly proud mother stood beside him.

This led into an argument with the cameraman, who ignorantly suggested “10% of teachers are bad” much to Damon’s dismay. Watch Damon’s rather perfect retort:
