With the increasing downgrading of good digital SLR camera prices, my brother, a much more avid photographer than I, upgraded and sold his old one to me, a Konica-Minolta DG-5D (which means nothing to me, a fact suggestive of amateurism). Its a complicated learning process, but last night in the midst of my last minute thesis editing, I did some experimenting… Montreal’s World Fireworks Competition happens every Saturday night about a kilometre directly south of my terrace, so I fucked around with the ISO and various other settings to try and juxtapose fireworks onto my face, and in one instance, get rid of my eyes. Sometimes it worked, I think at least, and those occasions are posted after the jump.
