'Weather' at climate summit and a 'Collapse' contest

A couple items in documentary news on the VOD front, from two films released by Cinetic Rights Management…

Robert Greene’s great nonfiction feature about climate control and weather modification controversey, Owning The Weather, caps a successful festival run that began at Full Frame this year, with a special screening as part of the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. indieWIRE has more about the film program going down at this major environmental summit in Denmark. Meanwhile, we’ve launched the film simultaneously on Cable VOD and Amazon VOD (iTunes coming soon). So, while delegates and officials are discussing the topics and seeing the film in Copenhagen, check out this documentary in your own living room.

Speaking of important gobal topics, Chris Smith’s documentary Collapse has now launched on Time Warner Cable Movies on Demand. It will be available on Comcast this weekend, and has already launched on Verizon FIOS, Charter, Cox, and more. As the film makes it way to cable systems in every city, IFC is partnering with us on a fun contest for the film. Click here for all the details on how to enter, and winners will receive autographed posters from the film. Be imaginative with your submissions.
